Gareth Southgate resigns as coach of the England men’s football team

TEngland men’s football team coach Gareth Southgate has resigned following a narrow defeat to Spain in the European Football Championship final.

Southgate said “it’s time for change and a new chapter”, in a declaration on Tuesday. The England manager faced personal criticism in the early stages of the tournament when his team narrowly won their opening games.
