MS Dhoni’s impact and charm on cricket, especially IPL, will not end anytime soon. Ahead of IPL 2024, the 42-year-old wicketkeeper stepped down as captain of Chennai Super Kings but still continues to dominate the game with his presence. His recent defeat against Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya with a hattrick of six left all cricket fans and experts stunned. Dhoni tries every day to keep up with his age and set new examples for the next generation.

Amidst all this action, another thing that is on everyone’s mind is Dhoni’s likely retirement from the IPL. Everyone is curious to know whether the 42-year-old will continue playing for CSK in IPL 2025.

Recently, former CSK batsman Suresh Raina, who is one of the commentators on Jio Cinema, was asked, “Will Dhoni play another season of IPL?”

Raina gave a strong, one-word response, “Khelenge. (He will play).”

Former India pacer RP Singh, who was also part of the panel, smiled at Raina’s confident response and said that now it looks like MSD has two more seasons left.

Earlier, Raina also revealed the CSK star’s reaction on hearing Bhojpuri’s comments. Dhoni was born in Jharkhand.

“MS Dhoni was discussing the Bhojpuri commentary. He said, ‘Bahut hi gajabe, commentary kar rahe Bhojpuriya me.’ (They are doing great work in Bhojpuri) I told him that Haryanvi is also cool,” Raina revealed while speaking on Jio Cinema.

Talking about the game against arch-rivals MI, Dhoni hit a four-ball 20 in IPL’s El Clasico.

MI captain Hardik Pandya was suffering his wrath. Ultimately, the 20 runs scored by CSK were crucial as the team won by 20 runs.
