Indian boxer Lovlina Borgohain (75kg), bronze winner at the Tokyo Olympics, was eliminated from the Paris Games after losing a tough quarter-final fight to China’s Li Qian in Paris on Sunday. Borgohain lost 1-4 in a tricky contest during which both boxers were repeatedly warned for clinching and holding. Her defeat ended Indian boxing’s Olympic campaign after Nishant Dev bowed out of the men’s 71kg quarter-finals on Saturday night.

A six-man contingent, comprising four women and two men, represented India at the Games.
