The St. Louis Cardinals were victims of a horrific strike three call on Saturday night.
After a three-hour rain delay, the White Sox and Cardinals returned to the field, but only briefly, as umpire C.B. Bucknor quickly called the game to a close.

The White Sox led the Cardinals 6-5 in the bottom of the tenth inning, but the Cardinals had the bases loaded with two outs and an 0-1 count.
After coming off a rain delay, Cardinals catcher Ivan Herrera entered the batter’s box once again to try and win the game.
However, it only took four pitches to end the game, the last of which was flagrantly outside the zone.
The Cardinals announcers were furious about the poor officiating after the rain delay and did not hesitate to criticize Bucknor for his poor work.
“You’ve got to be kidding me. After all this, he [C.B Bucknor] will cancel the launch,” said the color commentator.
“What a crazy game, and a crazy way to end.”
Walkthrough announcer Chip Caray was too surprised to speak at first, but finally got a sentence together.
“You’ve got to be kidding me,” he said.
The White Sox commentary team, of course, didn’t notice the poor third-strike decision, instead celebrating the end of the game.
“Call him! Strike three!” they shouted.
MLB fans agreed with the broadcasters about the poor officiating and criticized Bucknor for it.
“For about 20 years I have been mocking CB Bucknor for his controversial (aka wrong) calls. How he has a job is beyond me,” said one fan.
“The field wasn’t even close. Bucknor is a joke and embarrasses MLB every night,” said another fan.
“CB Bucknor is trying his hardest to be as bad as Angel Hernandez,” said a third fan.
“Why are the referees so bad this season?”. a fourth fan said.
