Gracie is the host of The Story of My Number, in which she talks to Yankee greats about prominent numbers in their careers and lives.

His interviewees include baseball icons such as Aaron Boone, Don Mattingly, Andy Pettitte, CC Sabathia, Tino Martinez and Nick Swisher.

“It’s really interesting and a good intersection between the numbers and the entertainment side,” Gracie told The New York Post.

“We talk exclusively with Yankees legends about important numbers in their careers and important numbers in their personal lives.

“We kind of used the number as a starting point to start the conversation about something else that was really a personal moment or a big career moment.”

Gracie is determined to prove to her fans that she didn’t get the job as a result of a “random nepotism thing.”

“I completely understand the assumption or the appearance of walking into a room as his daughter,” Gracie said.

“There’s definitely something to prove, that I deserved and deserve to be here, and that I worked to be here, and that I worked to stay here.

“The door was not broken down [for me]and I wasn’t pushed by it.

“And I don’t want it to go unnoticed that I fully understand that these connections exist and impact these decisions.

“So I’m not blind to that. But I think because I’m aware of that, I go in and I really want to prove that I deserve to be here, and that they made the right choice in choosing me and that it wasn’t just a matter of casual nepotism.”

Gracie has deep roots in the entertainment industry.

She studied musical theater at Northwestern University, where she performed in productions of She Loves Me and The Cherry Orchard.

And Gracie is also the host of a baseball reality show called The Tryout, which revolves around the search for the best amateur baseball player in the country.

“I definitely went into that show with a chip on my shoulder because I think there was – I wanted to show that I was trained for this, I was made to do this and that I had the knowledge of this sport specifically,” Gracie said.

“I came in so prepared. I really went into this project with guns blazing.

“And I realized then that if I’m really coming in guns blazing about this, I might as well take advantage…

“That was the first time I actually did something where there was that kind of crossover between what I was trained to do and what I grew up doing.”

Gracie currently divides her time between Chicago – where she lives with her boyfriend – and New York.

The couple plans to return to New York full time.

She is set to make her acting debut in a TV movie later this year.
