Long Beach Little League concluded the moving statement by saying it would honor “Coach Sean” for the remainder of the season.

LBLL continued to pay tribute to Sean Burroughs in the statement.
“I have had the privilege of coaching with Sean for the past two years and he has always come with a fun, friendly attitude that kids are drawn to, a wealth of baseball knowledge that could get any kid out of a hitting rut, and a humility that is worth worth imitating. .
“To say this is a huge loss is an understatement.
“But what makes LBLL special is our community, we are a family. Families celebrate the highest moments and lift each other up during the lowest moments.”

Long Beach Little League shared a statement on Instagram addressing the death of Sean Burroughs.
“It is with a heavy heart that I am writing this message to inform you that yesterday afternoon one of our coaches, Sean Burroughs, tragically passed away,” said the declaration of the president and board of directors of LBLL said.
“Sean was a legend in the LBLL and the baseball community for winning back-to-back Little League World Series championships for the LBLL in 1992 and 1993.
“While he left LB to play for several MLB clubs, he returned to his home at Stearns Champion Park to coach his son.”
