FANS couldn’t help but compare Olivia Dunne and Paul Skenes to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce as the LSU gymnast impressed with her outfit choice for her MLB debut.
Expectations were high when No. 1 prospect Skenes made his debut for the Pittsburgh Pirates against the Chicago Cubs.

And Skenes came back with four innings, three runs and seven strikeouts in the Pirates’ 10-9 victory.
In a dramatic MLB game that was postponed due to torrential rain, Skenes was ejected in the fifth, a decision met with boos.
Many eyes were on Dunne too, as she wore a custom Skenes jacket. And fans on Instagram were quick to give her their opinion.
“You are a mini Taylor and Travis,” one fan wrote.
“MLB writers are forced to make us win the World Series now,” was another poster’s comment.
“The King and Queen of Pittsburgh,” said someone else.
“This is so cute, what an adorable couple,” another fan wrote.
During the game, Dunne was interviewed by Sportsnet Pittsburgh and told them how “proud” she was on such a big day.
“I felt a little nervous at first, but I kind of channeled it into excitement instead of nervousness, and I just have more confidence in him,” she said.
“I just trust him and what he’s invested in, and I’m really excited.
“It’s amazing, the support here is incredible. Pittsburgh has been very welcoming. Just seeing people wearing Air Force stuff, LSU stuff, Skenes jerseys.
“I have so many incredible memories with him, but I know how hard he worked for this moment.
“This is probably one of my favorite moments I’ve ever seen, seriously, there’s nothing that can top this. I’m so proud.”
In college, Skenes led LSU to the 2023 College World Series title and was the Division I National Player of the Year.
DUNNE AND SKENES’ SUMMER OF LOVE
Olivia Dunne and Paul Skenes managed to keep their relationship a secret before finally going public last summer.
The two met at LSU, but it’s unclear when they started dating.
Rumors of a romance began when Dunne watched LSU win the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska, last summer.
And Dunne posted selfies from Fort Myers, Fla., where Skenes was playing.
He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates and began his professional career playing in the minor leagues in the Sunshine State.
The final clue came when Dunne posed in a Pirates cap before the pair finally went public.
He met Dunne in Baton Rouge, with the two dating since last summer.
Dunne is one of the highest-earning college athletes in the country and is currently in her fifth and final year at LSU.
She was part of the LSU Tigers gymnastics team that recently won the NCAA title.
It’s not surprising that comparisons have been made to Kelce and Swift, whose relationship has dominated headlines since it came to light last year.
The blossoming romance has been a theme throughout the NFL season.
Swift saw Kelce play in several games for the Kansas City Chiefs, including the Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas in February.
