ESPN caller Joe Buck announces major career move for ‘just one day’ that will follow in his father’s footsteps

ESPN broadcaster Joe Buck is returning to baseball.

Buck has not called in MLB since Game 6 of the World Series between the Atlanta Braves and Houston Astros in 2021.

He left his long-term position at FOX to join ESPN, where he has been calling in the NFL on Monday Night Football.

But according to Atléticohe will return to his roots for just one game.

Buck, 55, will be in the booth for the matchup between the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs on May 24.

He is set to join Chip Caray, 59 at Bally Sports Midwest, for The post-dispatch from St.

Buck and Caray are expected to pay tribute to legendary broadcasters Harry Caray, Chip’s grandfather, and Jack Buck, Joe’s father.

Jack called Cardinals games for 47 seasons, while Harry covered both the Cubs and Cardinals over his 53-year career.

Chip and Joe will tell stories about how their family members inspired their own careers.

MLB announcers were shocked beyond belief by an extremely rare feat by a Seattle Mariners fan.

The sequence occurred during Monday night’s game between the Mariners and the Kansas City Royals.

During the first inning, Josh Rojas hit a foul ball down the left field line.

The ball ended up being caught on the spot by a Mariners fan who didn’t bring a glove.

On the next field, Rojas made another foul in the same direction.

And the fan who caught the ball was the same one who caught the previous free kick.

“He got them both!” shouted Mariners TV announcer Aaron Goldsmith.

The NFL also saw some changes in the booth for the upcoming season.

FOX Sports will be the former NFL star’s move moved broadcaster Greg Olsen into a new commentary role.

For the 2024 season, Olsen will be replaced in the broadcast booth by NFL legend Tom Brady, who signed a 10-year, $375 million contract with Fox.

Olsen retired from the NFL in 2021 and has since been a popular Fox broadcaster while working alongside commentator Kevin Burkhardt.

Fox decided to have Brady as part of the main broadcast with Burkhardt.

As a result, Olsen would have been moved for the NFL on Fox’s second broadcast team.
