Hannah Mears, Pirates sideline reporter for SportsNet Pittsburgh, went into the stands to interview fans.

And she came across a group of students from Amos K. Hutchinson Elementary School in Greensburg.

Many fans wore fake mustaches, in honor of the man who was selected with the first overall pick in the MLB Draft.

A young fan, Cooper, drew a mustache on his face. Mears spoke to Cooper and asked him, “What’s your favorite thing about Mr. Paul Skenes?”

There was no hesitation from Cooper.

“Your mustache and Livvy Dunne,” he said, even raising his voice to say Dunne’s name.

There was applause and laughter upon receiving the response and fans were quick to give their opinion on X, the site formerly known as Twitter.

“Congratulations to the little guy for telling the facts,” wrote one fan.

“Don’t let the world change you, boy. You already figured it out,” said another fan.

“The boy is going places”, was the comment from another account.

“There was no doubt in his voice,” one fan wrote.

The romance between LSU gymnastics star Dunne and Skenes is attracting a huge number of headlines.

Dunne watched Skenes make his MLB debut against the Chicago Cubs two weeks ago.

She was also interviewed by Sportsnet Pittsburgh during the game.

DUNNE AND SKENES’ SUMMER OF LOVE

Olivia Dunne and Paul Skenes managed to keep their relationship a secret before finally going public last summer.

The two met at LSU, but it’s unclear when they started dating.

Rumors of a romance began when Dunne watched LSU win the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska, last summer.

And Dunne posted selfies from Fort Myers, Fla., where Skenes was playing.

He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates and began his professional career playing in the minor leagues in the Sunshine State.

The final clue came when Dunne posed in a Pirates cap before the pair finally went public.

“I felt a little nervous at first, but I kind of channeled it into excitement instead of nervousness, and I just have more confidence in him,” she said.

“I just trust him and what he’s invested in, and I’m really excited.

“This is probably one of my favorite moments I’ve ever seen, seriously, there’s nothing that can top this. I’m so proud.”

The Pirates lost 7-6 to the Giants in a hard-fought game on Thursday.

The loss leaves Pittsburgh at 23-28 this season.

Next up, the Pirates face a triple header against the Atlanta Braves this weekend.
