SHOHEI Ohtani has purchased a stunning mansion on the outskirts of Los Angeles.
Los Angeles Dodgers star signed a massive 10-year contract worth $700 million last year.
And Ohtani, 29, shelled out $7.85 million for a stunning property in La Canada Flintridge, according to the LA Times.
Comedian Adam Carolla is the seller — he told the Wall Street Journal he was moving on after divorcing his wife Lynette Paradise.
Ohtani’s new apartment is 13 miles from Dodger Stadium, which should take about 20 minutes,
Carolla listed the home last summer for $8.99 million.
The three-story home sits on an acre of land and includes indoor and outdoor living, a movie theater, sauna, gym, pool and basketball court.
It has five bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms, including one with a balcony and a hot tub.
Two-way sensation Ohtani’s contract is the biggest in the history of the sport.
The three-time AL MVP’s deal eclipses that of soccer icon Lionel Messi, who is believed to have signed a four-year, $673.9 million contract with FC Barcelona in 2017.
It surpasses Patrick Mahomes’ 10-year contract with the Kansas City Chiefs – worth up to $503 million.
Ohtani’s former interpreter, Ippei Mizuhara, was accused of stealing $16 million from him to feed his gambling addiction.
Some of the charges against Mizuhara involve wire transfers from Ohtani’s accounts that amounted to at least $4.5 million.
Mizuhara also admitted to participating in gambling and allegedly has ties to an illegal bookmaker.
Earlier this month, Dodgers pitcher Tyler Glasnow revealed the incredible way he met his girlfriend.
Glasnow first saw his girlfriend Meghan Murphy at an MLB stadium before giving her his number.
Home runs and boomsticks

MLB is back in London for the third time this summer when the Philadelphia Phillies take on the New York Mets.
The London Stadium will transform from a football field to a baseball field for the June 8 and 9 spectacle.
Fans attending games can indulge in some extravagant stadium menu items, like boomstick nachos (pictured) and a 2-foot boomstick hot dog.
The New York Yankees won both games in 2019 against the rival Boston Red Sox.
And the Chicago Cubs split their series with the St Louis Cardinals when the teams meet in 2023.
Glasnow was a former pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays, and during his time there, he spotted Murphy from a distance.
Dodgers announcer Joe Davis shared on the broadcast how Glasnow was able to approach her.
“At the stadium, when he was pitching for the Rays, he noticed her from a distance and said, ‘She looks beautiful.’ So he asked the team photographer to zoom in on her,” Davis said.
Glasnow then located her in the stands and threw a baseball where she was sitting.
The baseball had his phone number written on it along with the message “text me.”
Murphy returned to the next game with his own baseball that had his number on it and the message “No, you text me.”
