MLB is being asked to treat Paul Skenes and Olivia Dunne’s relationship like Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift.
Kelce and Swift took the sports world by storm after starting their star-studded relationship, and Skenes and Dunne could have that potential too.

Skenes exploded onto the scene this month after making his long-awaited debut for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
He’s pitched three games now, already striking out 21 pitchers in 16 innings and throwing 25 pitches at 100 mph or more.
Skenes isn’t just popular for his eye-popping fastball. He also has the benefit of Dunne alongside him.
Together, they became sports’ next power couple after Kelce and Swift.

Bob Dorfman, a San Francisco marketing expert, said Sport that MLB should ensure Dunne is at as many of Skenes’ games as possible.
“I would compare it to Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce. Make sure Livvy Dunne is at all your games,” Dorfman said.
“And feature it prominently. This will anger a lot of purists, but it could bring more fans and attention to these games.”
Dunne and Skenes certainly aren’t the same caliber as Swift and Kelce, but they could have the potential to be.
The LSU gymnast has watched Skenes play from the minor leagues to the major leagues and is loving every moment.
“There’s nothing that can top that, I’m very proud,” Dunne said on a Pirates broadcast.
Young fans also love Dunne and Skenes, with the Pirates broadcast landing a hilarious interview with a kid about them.
The fan was asked “What are your favorite things about Mr. Paul Skenes?” and he did not hesitate in his answer.
“Your mustache and Livvy Dunne,” he said.
Dunne has a massive social media presence, with 13.2 million followers across his platforms, and has several sponsorship deals.
Skenes doesn’t have the same social media presence, but he has enormous cash flow, earning an MLB-record $9.2 million bonus with the Pirates.
DUNNE AND SKENES’ SUMMER OF LOVE
Olivia Dunne and Paul Skenes managed to keep their relationship a secret before finally going public last summer.
The two met at LSU, but it’s unclear when they started dating.
Rumors of a romance began when Dunne watched LSU win the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska, last summer.
And Dunne posted selfies from Fort Myers, Fla., where Skenes was playing.
He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates and began his professional career playing in the minor leagues in the Sunshine State.
The final clue came when Dunne posed in a Pirates cap before the pair finally went public.
Dorfman said Dunne and Skenes should be used together as a marketing duo to increase their value.
According to him, they would be worth “between US$5 million and US$10 million dollars a year in advertising business”.
“Every deal should be a package deal,” he said.
“I would make sure she was always with him. He’s a great young athlete, but she’s very charismatic.”
There’s still a lot of season left, so Dunne and Skenes have plenty of time to continue winning over MLB fans.
