Kapler was hired by the Miami Marlins three months later, where he currently serves as assistant general manager.

However, in January, he chose to embark on a side project, sharing content on TikTok.

Kapler’s first post, subtitled“Simple foundation for feeling great in 2024,” was shared on New Year’s Day and saw him share “5 tips for a healthy 2024.”

Her tips were to walk regularly, eat less frequently, run briskly several times a week, eat meat, fruit and vegetables and “lift heavy things regularly”.

In subsequent videos, Kapler gave his followers advice on everything from “Irish goodbyes” to how to share your vision with colleagues and superiors, dining tips, how to dress for work, and more.

His videos have proven extremely popular, accumulating more than 62,000 followers this year.

They regularly attract 70,000 to 1.3 million views each.

In total, Kapler’s 16 posts totaled more than 5.2 million views.

But while some fans come to his page for advice, others are there to find out what the New York Post Office described as “thirst traps”.

Kapler’s content resulted in a plethora of responses from followers, with many praising the former outfielder.

The most controversial referee of all time

“Thanks baby… I mean Gabe,” said one fan.

“I’m trying to focus on the message, but I can’t,” commented a second.

“Have you ever thought about branching out into audiobook narration? You’d be amazing!” suggested a third.

While another added, “The Message + The Messenger = *Chefs Kiss*.”

Kapler was selected in the 57th round of the 1995 MLB Draft by the Detroit Tigers out of Moorpark College.

He ended up making his debut for the Tigers in 1998, spending 12 seasons in the Majors.

Home runs and boomsticks

MLB is back in London for the third time this summer when the Philadelphia Phillies take on the New York Mets.

The London Stadium will transform from a football field to a baseball field for the June 8th and 9th spectacle.

Fans attending games can indulge in some extravagant stadium menu items, like boomstick nachos (pictured) and a 2-foot boomstick hot dog.

The New York Yankees won both games in 2019 against the rival Boston Red Sox.

And the Chicago Cubs split their series with the St Louis Cardinals when the teams meet in 2023.

In stints with the Texas Rangers, Colorado Rockies, Boston Red Sox, Milwaukee Brewers, Tampa Bay Rays and Los Angeles Dodgers, Kapler made 1,104 MLB appearances.

He also won the 2004 World Series while with the Red Sox.

After working for the Dodgers as director of player development, he joined the Philadelphia Phillies as a coach in 2018.

Fired after two seasons on the job, Kapler was quickly hired by the Giants.

In total, he has gone 456-411 as a manager, also being named 2021 NL Manager of the Year.
