Last year, Royalty made 27 appearances for the Seminoles.

She posted a 2.23 ERA and 53 strikeouts after throwing 69 innings.

After a brilliant start to the 2024 season, she recently announced on her Instagram that she will miss the rest of the campaign due to an undisclosed injury.

“I am heartbroken to post that I will not be able to compete in the circle for my Noles moving forward,” Royalty said.

“However, I will be there at all times for my team, cheering on the bench.

“Injuries are part of the game and that won’t stop me from competing in a different way than I’m used to.”

The news comes after Royalty left Tallahassee’s Regional Championship game against Auburn after pitching just one and two-thirds innings.

The college star will finish with a 3.75 ERA in 69 innings over 29 games, including 15 starts and 2 complete games.

Despite the injury setback, Royalty is thriving with her move to Florida State.

“When I made my decision [to transfer]This turned out to be better than I could have ever imagined,” she said.

“I had people on my side who knew the coaching staff here and that really helped me move in that direction.

“I knew I wanted to be in an environment that pushed me as a person, not just as a player.

“Definitely a huge leap of faith that was amazing.”
