It was Judge’s 25th game of the season — four ahead of any other MLB player.

Since May 15, Judge has 14 HRs, 32 RBI, .557 OBP, 1.110 SLG and 340 wRC+, per U Stadium.

Judge hits a home run every 3,202 games – the best rate in baseball history.

And his .712 SLG percentage on the season also puts him in elite company.

Only Sammy Sosa and Barry Bonds have hit over .700 in a full season this century.

“I remember not long ago some Yankees fans were booing this guy. Really a goat”, commented one fan.

“Aaron, judge, I’m almost saying I’ve never seen anything like this,” added another.

Juan Soto is back from injury issues and New York looks like a force to be reckoned with.

But Jorge Posada believes that the key to success is discipline, not attention-grabbing hits.

The legendary former Yankees backstop was asked if Judge and Soto’s discipline was behind their prowess.

Yankees’ Aaron Judge leaves MLB fans puzzled with strange answer to question about his whereabouts during New York earthquake

“Without a doubt, Jack,” Posada said. YES Network’s Jack Curry. “You might not see that in the first and second at-bats of the series.

“But in a three- and four-game series, pitchers have to get on base at some point.

“It just wears out a pitcher.”

Judge is leading MLB in walks this season with 55 draws.

Soto is second with 49.

Five Major MLB Rule Changes in 2024

1. The pitch clock is reduced from 20 to 18 seconds with runners on base. It will remain at 15 seconds with the bases empty.

2. When a pitching change is made, the inning clock will reset to 2:00 instead of 2:15 as happened last year.

3. Teams will only be able to visit four mounds per game in 2024, compared to five last season.

4. Fielders and fielders who block bases will be cited for obstruction by the umpires.

5. The runners’ lane from home plate to first base has been widened to include the dirt between the grass and the white line.

“Nowadays they take a jar [of the game] in 80 pitches,” Posada added.

“So I think we would have been a lot tougher on the pitchers if we had done the things they are doing now.

“It just wears on the pitcher.”

The 48-21 Yankees face the 39-29 Royals again today with a 2-0 series lead.

New York sits atop the American League East standings.
