PAUL Skenes continued his incredible start to his MLB life on Monday.
The 22-year-old Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher struck out seven in six innings in a 4-1 victory over the Cincinnati Reds.

And fans think he should go to the New York Yankees.
“He’ll look good in Yankee stripes,” one posted on X.
“Skenes is really going to help the Yankees in a few years,” added another.
“I feel terrible for Paul Skenes, shame he will have his career wasted in Pittsburgh, wait until he wins a World Series with the Yankees, a third post.”
The No. 1 overall pick, Skenes and his girlfriend Olivia Dunne, 21, are making a lot of headlines in MLB right now.
And the Yankees will definitely be keeping an eye on the rising star.
Looking at the NFL, the marketing potential of a power couple was made clear by Travis Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift.
Skenes made it clear he wanted to be a five-pitch pitcher in spring training.
And he was forced to dig deeper into his arsenal yesterday.
He allowed a first-inning home run for the first time in seven games as the Reds targeted his fastball.
“Early on, we were really trying to be ready for his fastball,” explained manager David Bell.
“Obviously, he has a good fastball. I thought we did a good job with that in the first round.”
But Skenes mixed things up with plenty of obstacles and splinters to enjoy another productive night.
“Today was really a five-pitch game,” Skenes said.
“I used all five pitches. It’s definitely fun to be able to pitch like that and play a little more mind games with them.
DUNNE AND SKENES’ SUMMER OF LOVE
Olivia Dunne and Paul Skenes managed to keep their relationship a secret before finally going public last summer.
The two met at LSU, but it’s unclear when they started dating.
Rumors of a romance began when Dunne watched LSU win the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska, last summer.
And Dunne posted selfies from Fort Myers, Fla., where Skenes was playing.
He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates and began his professional career playing in the minor leagues in the Sunshine State.
The final clue came when Dunne posed in a Pirates cap before the pair finally went public.
“It’s literally getting to a position where I have to use them, to a certain extent, where I have to use all five of my pitches.
“That’s where I was today. There are days when I can’t use a pitch.
“Today was one of those days where I had to use all five pitches to get through it.”
“I think as he continues to grow, we see the ability to use weapons,” Pirates coach Derek Shelton said.
With Skenes already looking like a superstar and Dunne racking up endorsements, the sky is the limit for the pair.
