MIAMI Marlins star Jazz Chisholm was criticized on social media for dousing a reporter in the middle of an interview.

The incident in question occurred following the Marlins’ 9-8 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday.

The game was won via two late runs in the bottom of the tenth by Nick Gordon and Jesus Sanchez.

Afterwards, Bally Sports’ Jessica Blaylock interviewed star Vidal Brujan, whose final hit won the game, from the dugout.

When his interview was broadcast on the PA system around LoanDepot Park, Chisholm abruptly threw an entire Gatorade cooler of water onto Blaylock, also hitting Brujan and his translator in the process.

“I feel like maybe I’ve dealt the final blow,” Blaylock joked before continuing the interview.

Meanwhile, Chisholm was caught celebrating on the bench, flexing for the camera.

The clip quickly went viral on X, formerly known as Twitter, where fans were apparently less than impressed.

“What the hell was that?” one user asked.

“Incredibly disrespectful. She handled it well,” said a second.

“Childish boys will do childish things,” commented another.

While a fourth added: “Showering in Gatorade after a regular season win is weak.”

Blaylock apparently saw the funny side of this, however, turning to X to give him his two cents on the incident.

“Hey @j_chisholm3 I wouldn’t trade these moments for anything,” she he wrote.

“But you better bring me some chocolate tomorrow!!! I think I deserved it!”

Quick response, Chisholm he said“You know I always got you!!! There’s a box waiting for you!!”

He also responded to a critical fan comment, explaining“She was happy to get it all the time.”

In fact, while speaking with Braxton Garrett after the Marlins’ 3-0 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks in May, Blaylock narrowly avoided any collateral damage when a tube of Gatorade was thrown at him.

“I know it’s freezing Brax, because I’m suffering from it too,” she joked.

And it appears that the recent backlash will not prevent such future occurrences.

After the Marlins beat the Cardinals 4-3 on Wednesday, game winner Otto Lopez was iced again on the field while speaking to Blaylock.

This time, she managed to avoid the worst, later joke in X, “It’s a game of adjustments”.
