MLB commentator claims ‘something’s burning’ as broadcast goes ‘a little hazy’ after car catches fire near stadium

AN MLB game ran into technical difficulties on Saturday when the broadcast suddenly became hazy.

Seattle Mariners broadcasters were shocked when the stadium collapsed under a cloud of smoke.

The announcers announced it on the broadcast as they tried to figure out if something was wrong in the stadium.

“Is there smoke? It looks like something is burning,” the broadcasters said.

“If you look down there, it’s foggy. Am I making something up?”

Turns out the broadcasters were completely correct and the wind was blowing smoke from the highway where a car was on fire.

“There’s a car on fire on the interstate near the stadium,” another announcer said.

“You’re looking live and it’s definitely hazy in here because of the smoke.”

MLB fans made many jokes about the fire, saying it symbolized how the Mariners’ season was going so far.

“A visual representation of the Ms season so far,” said one fan.

“I thought it was to symbolize the Mariners dumpster fire one season,” another fan said.

“I thought it was the implosion of the franchise,” said a third fan.

“Every time you go to the stadium you always see something new,” said a fourth fan.

The Mariners are off to a slow start to the 2024 season, playing to just a 6-9 record after going 88-74 last year.

Their hitters have yet to find their rhythm, as the Mariners simply looked outmatched against opposing pitchers.

They currently face the Chicago Cubs, going 1-1 in the series and playing the rubber match on Sunday.

The Mariners will face the sizzling Cincinnati Reds next.
