The Philadelphia Phillies had a record number of All Stars this year and they had fun together on the field.

During the All Star Game, Fox Sports placed microphones on Bryce Harper, Alec Bohm and Trea Turner to allow them to talk during the second inning.

While they were together, Harper took the opportunity to mock a teammate who was not selected for the All Star game.

One of the announcers asked how much fun he was having and he certainly pointed out that some of his teammates weren’t at the game.

“It would be funnier if one of our starters wasn’t on the beach right now,” he said with a laugh.

“I’m just kidding, it’s been fun. It’s been amazing, we have such a great group of guys and we have so much fun together.”

The Phillies had three of their four starting outfielders in the game at the same time last night, only second baseman Bryson Stott was missing.

Stott isn’t having a stellar season, batting .238 with six home runs and 42 RBI.

He’s stealing bases at a rapid rate, grabbing 22 sacks in the first half of the season.

Stott is also 1.8 wins above replacement, but his .676 OPS wasn’t enough to get him into the All Star game alongside his teammates.

He has yet to make an All Star Game in his three-year career with the Phillies.

Fans speculated that Harper could be talking about Stott in her interview and guessed what other names it could be.

“He’s talking about Stott,” said one fan.

“Stotty isn’t at the beach, he’s looking after Marsh while Bohm is away,” said another fan.

“Is he talking about Zack Wheeler?” a third fan said.

“Harper’s sense of humor is the best!” a fourth fan said.

“I know Stott was watching this game like Squidward was watching SpongeBob and Patrick having fun,” said a fifth fan.

Outside of Harper, Turner and Bohm, the Phillies had Zack Wheeler, Ranger Suarez, Matt Strahm, Jeff Hoffman and Christopher Sanchez in the game.

Harper said having so many All Stars was a testament to how good the Phillies’ first half was.

“We definitely had a very good first half,” Harper he said.

“I think when you have a good team, you have depth. It’s a lot of fun as a group, from top to bottom.”

The Phillies have the best record in baseball at 62-34.
