MLB star Mike Trout has broken his silence following the devastating news that he will miss the rest of the season with another meniscus injury.

Trout began a rehab assignment last week that was put on hold due to a setback to his surgically repaired right knee.
Angels general manager Perry Minasian told reporters Thursday that the 32-year-old MLB outfielder suffered a torn meniscus in the same knee.
It was the same injury that led to knee surgery in May.
Trout’s season has come to an end, and the 11-time All-Star has opened up about his situation, saying he received the brutal News on Wednesday.
“Since my initial surgery on May 3 to repair my meniscus, my rehabilitation has proven longer and more difficult than I expected,” he wrote on Twitter. X.
“After months of hard work, I was devastated yesterday when an MRI showed a tear in my meniscus that will require surgery again – ending my hopes of returning this season.
“Playing and competing is a big part of my life.
This is as painful and frustrating for me as it is for you, the fans.”
Trout then revealed his belief that there will be light at the end of the tunnel for him and Angels fans.
“I understand that I may have disappointed many, but believe me, I will do everything I can to come back even stronger,” he continued.
“I will continue to help my team and my benchmates as we move into the second half of the season. Thank you for your support.”
Before the injury, Trout played 29 games and hit just .220 with 10 home runs.
