The Little League World Series kicks off this month and ESPN is experiencing major coverage of the annual tournament.

Due to the LLWS being broadcast on ESPN, First Take will once again move to ESPN 2 to accommodate the tournament.

The tournament started on August 1st and runs until August 25th.

Regional tournaments end on August 9th before official LLWS games begin on August 14th.

Major League Baseball will also play a special Little League Classic game on August 18 to commemorate the tournament.

This contest will take place at Historic Bowman Field in Williamsport, Pennsylvania between the New York Yankees and the Detroit Tigers.

This game will also air on ESPN, but it will be on a Sunday, so it will not replace First Take.

There is no timeline for how many episodes or how long First Take will move to ESPN 2.

First Take recently completed a show in front of a live audience that was one of Stephen A. Smith’s few shows after the holidays.

The program was broadcast by the National Association of Black Journalists.

‘I was about to have security remove you’ Stephen A. Smith told First Take guest after Dallas Cowboys admission

Stephen A. dressed to the nines and received thunderous applause from fans.

“I was on vacation, but you are more important than vacations,” said Stephen A..

“Damn, that means a lot because I was having fun.”

Stephen A’s vacation is scheduled to end before the start of the NFL season, so he may spend some more time away from the show.

First look at the numbers

First Take has grown from strength to strength under the guidance of Stephen A. Smith and Molly Qerim over the past year.

ESPN’s weekday debate show averaged 496,000 viewers in 2023 — making it the most-watched year in the show’s history.

Its December average of 611,000 represented a 24% annual increase compared to 2022.

The show has also recorded more than 250 million views on YouTube.

First Take was helped by the addition of Shannon Sharpe alongside Smith and Qerim after he left Fox Sports’ Undisputed.

He won’t have much more time to spend on vacation as pre-season is underway.

The Hall of Fame game has just been played and each team will complete their three preseason games in August.

The NFL season will begin on September 5th with a matchup between the Chiefs and Ravens.

Stephen A. will have already returned to First Take full time.
