BASEBALL fans can’t get enough of their beloved sport.
And soon there will be even more time for MLB lovers everywhere to immerse themselves in the game.
BatBox, a new Topgolf-style baseball simulator venue, is opening for business.
The first BatBox is opening in the United States in Addison, Texas, and is expected to be the first of many.
We hope several features will appeal to all discerning baseball fans.
There will be HD screens in every cage where fans can try swinging the bat and try some home runs.
Using Strikezon, a baseball simulator technology, promises a “realistic and immersive” experience.
There will be Full Game or Home Run Derby modes.
Naturally, there will be several sports bars operating.
The stadium-like stands will also try to mimic, as much as possible, the feeling of being at a game.
And of course, action from various MLB games will be shown everywhere throughout the season.
There are already 13 BatBox locations across Mexico. The goal is for there to be 25 in the US by 2030.
Judging by some of the reactions on X, the site formerly known as Twitter, the new place should do decent trading.
“Take my money now,” said one fan.
“I’ve been waiting for a place like this for a long time,” said another fan.
“Sounds like fun, I’ll definitely plan a visit,” wrote a third fan.
“Dangerous! I’ll probably spend all day there,” a fourth fan posted.
“I hope it’s realistic because I would like to try,” said a fifth fan.
The truth is, baseball is very late to the party on this one.
Entertainment venues with golf simulators have been in vogue for several years.
There are also venues for several other sports, including football and darts.
The city of Addison is about 25 kilometers from Dallas.
