LOS Angeles Dodgers All-Star Freddie Freeman shared a positive update on his son’s health.
The 34-year-old MLB star’s son revealed on Friday that his 3-year-old son Maximus had recently been hospitalized.
In a joint Instagram publish From Freddie and his wife, Chelsea, they revealed: “Last Friday, Max declined rapidly and became paralyzed throughout his body.
“We are very lucky to have gotten him to the hospital in time so they could reinforce his lungs.”
They added that Freddie was in Houston when Max began to suffer, so he rushed back.
Tests revealed that Max was “battling a severe case of Guillain-Barré syndrome.
“A rare neurological condition that is especially rare in children.”
Fortunately, the Freemans revealed on Sunday that after an eight-day stint in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, they have finally returned home.
“Max still has a long way to go to regain his strength and relearn how to walk,” they said. explained.
“But we are so grateful to have our family together again.
“Thank you, God, for this miracle. Also, thank you to our amazing team of angel doctors and nurses for taking such good care of our little boy.
“And to our village for helping so much with Charlie and Brandon.”
The update included a touching photo of Max, Freddie and Chelsea smiling together in the hospital, along with the young man holding a “Prayers for Max” card and one of the 3-year-old boys being carried through the hospital by his father.
A touching video was also shared, showing brothers Charlie and Brandon welcoming Max home.
The comments section was quickly filled with responses from well-wishers, from fans to other athletes and famous faces.

The Dodgers currently sit atop the NL West at 65-47, with the Phillies coming to town on Monday.
