NBA superstar Steph Curry could be taking his life in a whole new direction as his career winds down.
Curry will undoubtedly go down as the greatest basketball player of all time, helping the Golden State Warriors win four NBA titles.
Now he may very well shine in the comedy arena, thanks to Peacock’s new show, Mr. Throwback!
Curry produces the series, which comes from Happy Endings creator David Caspe, along with writing duo Matthew and Daniel Libman.
The premise of the show is a documentary of Curry playing a fictionalized version of himself.
In the show, Curry has an old high school friend, Danny Grossman – played by Adam Pally – who never made it in basketball.
Now Grossman wants Curry’s help, which leads to a lot of banter along the way.
This is far from the first time Curry has ventured down the entertainment route.
He won an Oscar for producing the short film The Basketball Queen.
Curry wouldn’t be the first sportsman to try to follow the show business path after his career ended.
In fact, a huge star in the current NFL game, Travis Kelce, has also hinted that this is where his future could lie.
It’s already been a storybook life for Curry, whatever happens next.
The point guard has been a one-team man throughout his spectacular career.
He has been with the Warriors since 2009, recently surpassing the 15-year mark with the team.
Curry was twice named the NBA’s Most Valuable Player.
He was also NBA Finals MVP.
And the 36-year-old is currently in action at the Paris Olympics.
