Kate and Claire Gransee went public at the end of June.

She confirmed that they are dating by responding to a fan on TikTok.

“I can’t even be upset if this is Kate Martin’s girlfriend because she is LITERALLY BEAUTIFUL, STUNNING, GORGEOUS, PERFECT,” the fan said.

“She’s beautiful and stunning and perfect, I can’t lie,” Martin replied.

Kate and her girlfriend studied at the University of Iowa.

Claire graduated with a major in Communication Studies and a minor in Law and Media Literacy earlier this year.

She currently works as a staff consultant for recruitment agency Beacon Hill Technologies, according to her LinkedIn profile.

They spent the WNBA break together, as was clear from their social media posts.

Claire, who is from Boston, has 19,000 followers on Instagram.

She was selected in the second round of the 2024 WNBA Draft.

Kate, 24, is averaging 3.6 points, two rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.

The WNBA has enjoyed great ratings since Caitlin Clark entered the league this season.

But with that comes greater scrutiny for all players.

How the WNBA works

The 2024 WNBA season features 12 teams, with the regular season running from May 14 to September 9.

Each team plays 40 regular season games – four against five teams from the same conference and two teams from the other conference, and three games against the remaining four teams.

The top eight teams in the league standings qualify for the playoffs – regardless of which conference they are in.

The playoffs will use a best-of-three format in the first round, while the WNBA semifinals and finals will be best-of-five.

This season also includes a month-long break for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

The Las Vegas Aces are defending back-to-back WNBA champions.

ESPN anchor Elle Duncan apologized to former WNBA champion Sheryl Swoopes for outing her on her podcast.

Duncan, 41, claimed that six-time All-Star Swoopes was spreading “hate” against WNBA rookie Clark.

Swoopes discussed the WNBA Rookie of the Year race between Clark and Angel Reese on her own Queens of the Court podcast last week.

The three-time MVP chose Reese of the Chicago Sky as her pick to win the gong.

“I love her, but she’s wrong here,” Duncan said of Swoopes’ opinion, per The Daily Mail.

“She had some thoughts. She already had some thoughts about Caitlin.

“This just doesn’t feel right and it’s starting to feel a little like Sheryl-hate, that just in this specific space, stop.”

‘A little more motivation’

Caitlin Clark insists her Paris 2024 snub has left her even hungrier and more determined to achieve her Olympic dream.

The rookie WNBA sensation was left off the roster for this summer’s Olympics, a shock to many.

Clark won’t be in Paris this summer, but she’s keeping her head up

“I think it just gives you something to work towards,” Clark said.

“It’s a dream, I hope one day I can be there. I think it’s just a little more motivation.

“You remember that. Hopefully when it comes back four years, I can be there. I’m excited for the girls that are on the team.

“I know it’s the most competitive team in the world and I know it could have gone either way with me being on the team or not being on the team.

“I’m excited for them and I’m going to root for them to win the gold.”

Duncan took to social media on Friday, the day after the podcast’s release, to admit that he hadn’t listened to the full show that Swoopes recorded with freelance writer Jordan Robinson.

“I did what you weren’t supposed to do,” Duncan he wrote in a statement about X.

“I reacted to Sherly Swoopes’ comments about Caitlin Clark based on quotes made to me by the producers in the recap.

“I should have LISTENED to the show.”
