TEAM USA basketball star Joel Embiid wasn’t afraid to borrow a move from WWE after being hit with boos on the Olympic podium.
The 30-year-old Philadelphia 76ers star received his gold medal after Team USA’s 98-87 victory France on Saturday.

Embiid helped the team USA win your first consecutive gold medal.
During the Olympics, the NBA star was sad about choosing to play for Team USA instead of his homeland Cameroon or Francethe country he also has citizenship.
Embiid ended up playing for Team USA, and the host nation, France, booed him after he won the gold medal.
After hearing the boos, Embiid laughed and signaled the crowd to continue their boos.

LeBron and Team USA were also seen antagonizing the crowd and telling them to be louder.
Embiid then performed the “Suck It” crotch gesture, which became popular among WWEof Generation DX.
In the past, NBA players have been fined for celebrating, which could be considered a provocation.
2023-24 MVP Embiid played a vital role in the Americans’ first-place finish.
Embiid played just 11 minutes in the final and recorded four points, three rebounds, two assists and a steal.
But he played a more important role in the USA’s semi-final victory over Serbiarecording 19 points.
There was speculation that Embiid would play for the host nation, France.
Embiid chose to play for coach Steve Kerr’s U.S. national team and revealed he wanted to “honor my son who was born in the U.S.” and play in his first Olympics for him.
The 2024 Los Angeles Olympics could see Embiid represent another country in the men’s basketball tournament.
Embiid shared that he could play for Cameroon in the next Olympics.

It’s been a good experience [in Paris]”, he said during this year’s Olympics.
“It’s been a hard task being away from home and family for a few weeks.
“But the group of guys we created made it easier.
“Paris is a big city, and the next one is Los Angeles.
“It might not be with the US team, it might be with Cameroon.”
The switch from Embiid to Cameron would need approval from FIBA, basketball’s international governing body, and approval from USA Basketball.
