ESPN host Malika Andrews maintained her composure on a live TV broadcast as an earthquake suddenly struck.

While Andrews interviewed remotely on ESPN, basketball Analyst Rebecca Lobo During a segment about the women’s basketball gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, an earthquake shook the NBA Today studios in Los Angeles.

Andrews knew immediately what was happening and told the TV audience, “We had a small earthquake here in Los Angeles.

“So let’s just make sure our studio lights and everything stays safe.

“Everything is shaking.

“How good are you (camera operator) Mylen?

“Everyone okay?”

Andrews thanked Lobo “for accompanying us” and again confirmed to the audience that the studio was shaking due to an earthquake.

ESPN star Andrews asked the show’s control room if they were OK.

She continued with the program after receiving the message on her earpiece that everything was fine.

It turns out that Los Angeles was rocked by a 4.7 magnitude earthquake.

The earthquake occurred just two miles from Pasadena, California.

After the NBA Today show, Andrews shared his thoughts on experiencing the earthquake in the studios and thanked his colleagues for enduring the aftermath.

“Definitely a scary time here in our Los Angeles studios. Thank you to our amazing staff and staff who remained calm the entire time! Stay safe, fellow Angelenos,” she wrote on X.

Fans were impressed with how calm Andrews was and how considerate he was of his colleagues during the earthquake.

“Extremely professional”, commented one about X.

“Cool as a cucumber, that was impressive,” wrote another on the social media platform.

“This was handled unbelievably! Very good,” added a third.

“This is a really good advert,” said a fourth.

Monday’s earthquake occurred a week after Los Angeles was hit by another magnitude 5.3 earthquake.

Andrews has hosted NBA Today since 2021.
