MILWAUKEE Bucks star Patrick Beverley has been criticized on social media after an angry interaction with a fan was caught on camera.

With just over two minutes remaining, trailing 114-94 in what would be a season-ending loss to Milwaukee, Beverley, 35, was captured throwing a ball at a Pacers fan a few rows behind the bench.

The ball appeared to hit her in the head, after which a fan in front of her caught the ball.

Beverley raised his arm, it is unclear whether this was an apology to the first fan after hitting him instead of the second, or to ask for the ball back.

Still, the second fan appeared to say something to Beverley, after which he threw the ball back to the veteran guard.

Apparently outraged, Beverley immediately throws him back onto the second fan.

Teammates immediately come forward to hold Beverley down, while a member of the Bucks team speaks to the fan and those next to him.

The clip quickly made its way to X, formerly known as Twitter, where fans weighed in on the situation.

One such fan said Beverley needed to “be kicked out of the league”.

“I understand being emotional, but this is just ridiculous for the man,” commented a second.

“He should be suspended for this,” added another.

While a fourth responded: “I’ll try not to judge. Maybe that fan said something extremely out of line.

“Bev is still being suspended.”

Beverley finished the game after 40 minutes of play, recording six points, five assists and two rebounds.

Since being traded to the Bucks in February, Beverley has played 26 games, averaging six points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists during the regular season.

What was said during the exchange or whether or not Beverley intended to hit the first fan is unclear.

The loss guarantees an early exit from the Playoffs for Milwaukee, while the Pacers move on to the Conference Semifinals.

There they will face the New York Knicks or the Philadelphia 76ers.

As for Beverley, his future remains uncertain, with his one-year, $3.2 million contract set to come to an end.

I understand being emotional, but this is just ridiculous for the man.

If he left Milwaukee, he would be looking for his seventh team in five years.

To date, Beverley has earned over $82 million during his NBA career.
