NEW York Knicks star Julius Randle was forced to miss the NBA playoffs due to a shoulder injury.
But Randle continues to make a statement by assembling one of the most epic car collections in the NBA.
The former Los Angeles Lakers forward earned more than $130 million throughout his career.
And Randle spent his winnings on an insane fleet of cars that includes a “one-of-a-kind” Mercedes.
PORSCHE PANAMERA
After being selected 7th overall by the Lakers in 2014, one of Randle’s first purchases was a Porsche Panamera.
Randle was one of several NBA rookies who were asked what they would do with their first paycheck.
“Yeah, I kind of got my dream car” Randle replied.
“I bought a Porsche Panamera. All black.”
The Porsche Panamera is a state-of-the-art supercar that is also owned by NHL legend Henrik Lundqvist and fellow NBA star Anthony Davis.
Equipped with a 2.9-liter V-6 engine, the car can go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds.
It has a top speed of 168 mph and sells for around $100,000.
CLIMBING CADILLAC
Randle recently purchased a customized Cadillac Escalade in Sport Platinum trim.
The car is finished in Black Raven, fitted with standard 22-inch, 12-spoke alloy wheels in Dark Android finish.
The work was done by dealership Champion Motoring, based in San Diego, California.
Randle’s Cadillac has a 6.2-liter V8 engine and is for sale for $90,000.
MERCEDES-BENZ G550
The most iconic car in Randle’s collection is his customized Mercedes-Benz G550.
The self-described “unique” 4×4 Squared model has a matte black exterior, black leather cabin and exposed carbon fiber elements.
The 2017 convertible model was offered for sale by Champion Motoring and promptly purchased by Randle.
On the market for US$225,000, the car accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 6.1 seconds and reaches a top speed of 195 km/h.
BMW i8
In 2015, Randle purchased a BMW i8 while still with the Lakers.
The NBA star purchased the matte black two-door car from the RDB LA auto body shop, based on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles.
Described as “truly original” by BMW, the high-performance hybrid car reaches a top speed of 250 km/h.
It can go from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.4 seconds.
On the market for US$150,000, the BMW i8 is available in Coupe or Roadster versions.
