After playing 12 minutes in New York’s 121-117 win against Indiana on Monday, Mitchell Robinson, 26, was ruled out of the remainder of the NBA Playoffs.

O Knicks announced on Tuesday that he suffered a “stress injury to his left ankle and will be re-evaluated in 6 to 8 weeks.”

This came after the Knicks had already revealed that Robinson would be inactive for Game 2 in an attempt to manage injuries.

“This is so fucked up man I don’t even know what to say right now,” Robinson tweeted after the announcement, via The Athletics’ Fred Katz

“This isn’t over! I’m going to get revenge,” he added.

The news of Robinson’s injury drew a lot of response from fans on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“No way bro, I just got back,” one fan commented.

“No way. Prayers for the big guy,” said a second.

“No way are they cursed,” replied another.

While a quarter said the “Knicks are cooked.”

Roobinson’s latest injury occurred just six months after he had ankle surgery, according to ESPN.

This made him miss 50 games, only returning to the fold in March.

He returned to the sidelines on April 28 during the Knicks’ 97–92 Game 4 first-round victory against the Philadelphia 76ers due to ankle soreness.

Robinson joins Julius Randle and Bojan Bogdanovic on the Knicks’ sidelines.

Randle, a three-time All-Star, suffered a shoulder injury in January during the Knicks’ 125-109 victory against the Miami Heat, leading to him needing season-ending surgery, according to ESPN. Adrian Wojnarowski.

While Bogdanovic’s season came to an end after suffering a left foot injury during the aforementioned Game 4 against the 76ers.

Ultimately, this required him to undergo surgery.

In six playoff games this season, Robinson averaged 2.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 0.5 assists in 19.1 minutes per game.
