A big call was decided in favor of the New York Knicks on Wednesday night, and TNT commentator Reggie Miller was not happy about it.

The Knicks’ Isaiah Hartenstein was called for a double dribble while coming up the court, but replay clearly showed it wasn’t a dribble.

Even commentator Reggie Miller, a legendary Pacers player, didn’t see where the foul was.

“Where? I don’t see,” said Miller.

Fellow broadcasters Brian Anderson and Stan Van Gundy agreed with Miller’s assessment.

After a quick conference, the referees canceled the call and gave the ball back to the Knicks with a minute left in the game and a six-point lead.

Their explanation was that it was an inadvertent whistle, which sent Pacers coach Rick Carlisle into a frenzy and the announcers into even more confusion.

“How was it inadvertent? I heard… I heard the whistle and the call,” Miller said.

“And the signal,” Anderson replied.

“Right. And the signal. He signaled double dribble,” Miller said in agreement.

“That sounds better than ‘I blew the call,’ Reg,” Van Gundy interrupted.

After watching the replay again, all the announcers agreed that it wasn’t a double dribble, but they still didn’t understand how it was knocked down.

Knicks’ Mitchell Robinson ruled out of remainder of Playoffs due to crushing blow injury months after surgery

The problem with the sequence is that a double dribble is a violation and the referees cannot check the monitor for a violation.

Furthermore, the game took place in the final two minutes, so neither coach was able to trigger a call review.

However, NBA officials have the right to review the call and overturn the decision without looking at any replay, which is what they did.

Still, it was egregious enough in Carlisle’s eyes to be ejected from the game.

“Both coaches, you know, you’ve got to stick up for your guys,” Carlisle said of his ejection.

“You have to defend what is right and what is not right.

The anger likely dates back to the first game of the series, where the Pacers were called for a kicked ball, a violation similar to a double dribble, that wasn’t actually kicked.

This decision was not reviewed by the referees, and the Knicks received the ball.

The Knicks won that game and eventually the second game, giving them a 2-0 lead over the Pacers.

Game 3 kicks off at 7pm ET in Indiana as the Pacers try to avoid a 3-0 loss to the Knicks.
