The 2024 NBA Playoffs will largely continue on Disney-owned airwaves this weekend.
TNT Sports broadcast the first two games of the New York Knicks-Indiana Pacers and Denver Nuggets-Minnesota Timberwolves conference semifinal series.
But both will resume on ESPN with the Disney-owned network revealing NBA coverage plans ahead of Friday’s doubleheader.
NBA Countdown, starring Stephen A. Smith, Michael Wilbon, Bob Myers and host Malika Andrews, will begin at 6:30 pm ET for a preview of the night’s games.
Game 3 of the Knicks-Pacers series will begin about 30 minutes later, with Indiana trying to avoid falling behind 3-0.
Mike Breen will call the game alongside analysts Doris Burke and JJ Redick.
The Knicks head to Gainbridge Fieldhouse looking to extend their series lead after previous victories of 121-117 and 130-121.
However, they will have to do it without OG Anunoby after he was ruled out of Game 3 due to a hamstring injury suffered in Game 2.
Later that night, the Nuggets will look to earn their first win of the second-round series with the Timberwolves in Game 3 of the matchup.
The clash is scheduled to start at 9:30 pm with Mark Jones and Tim Legler behind the microphones.
Denver’s defending NBA champions hope to bounce back in style after Monday’s brutal 106-80 loss.
This will be Nuggets star Nikola Jokic’s first game since being crowned league MVP for the third time.
The following day, ABC will show Game 3 between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Dallas Mavericks, as well as the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers.
Dallas tied the series at 1-1 on Thursday with a 119-110 win at the Paycom Center.
However, the result was somewhat overshadowed by a postgame incident during Mavericks star Luka Doncic’s press conference.
During the interview, the room suddenly fell silent when what sounded like a female moan was heard.
As for Cleveland, they also tied the series at 1-1 on Thursday thanks to their 118-94 win in Boston.
And on Sunday, ABC will cover Game 4 between the Knicks and Pacers with Breen, Burke and Redick again at 3:30 p.m.
The network will also air the 2024 NBA Draft Lottery at 3 p.m.
Both the Washington Wizards and Detroit Pistons have the highest odds of earning the coveted No. 1 spot in the upcoming draft at 14 percent, according to NBA.com.
The Charlotte Hornets have a 13.3% chance, followed by the Portland Trail Blazers at 13.2%.
The Nuggets-Timberwolves series will return to TNT Sports on Sunday with kickoff set for 8 p.m.
