New York Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau is receiving criticism for injuries to his players during the playoffs.

Many are citing too many minutes on the court as a reason why stars like Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby have been injured.

However, McNutt said the Knicks shouldn’t take criticism for how well their stars are playing.

“I’m old enough to remember when we had to put a 65-game limit on awards shows,” McNutt said.

“And now we’re like, ‘Oh, the guys are playing too much! Rawr rawr rawr!”

McNutt gave a simple analysis of Thibodeau’s coaching style, saying good players get more minutes.

“If you’re playing basketball, Thibs will leave you out there,” she said.

McNutt also explained that Knicks rotation players like Alec Burks and Precious Achua have struggled to make an impact off the bench.

She also cited the fact that the Knicks consistently won with Anunoby on the court, and that he was a spark plug for them.

“It’s the playoffs, you play, and when he’s on the court this team wins.

NBA fans largely agreed with McNutt’s analysis and shared their thoughts on social media.

“If Thibs was on the bench more, they would have lost to the Sixers and been home,” said one fan.

“OG played 1 month as a Knick and basically returned in the last week of the season. All the other Knicks got weird injuries that had nothing to do with it,” said another fan.

“Monica knows more ball than 95% of the people on TV,” said a third fan.

“She’s so good at this! Made for TV – smart, gets her point across clearly and fun,” said a fourth fan.

“I’ll say it over and over again: the fact that we have players that don’t contribute on the bench is my biggest pain with this,” said a fifth fan.
