But the Minnesota Timberwolves had other plans and scored an emphatic victory on the road.

With the series level at 3-3, Game 7 in Denver will be a high-stakes matchup on Sunday.

And Jokic, 29, hopes to bounce back from the worst playoff loss to an MVP since 1956, for Sports center.

The unlucky man that time was Hall of Famer Bob Pettit, whose St. Louis Hawks were below 133-75 for the Minneapolis Lakers.

“They beat our a**,” Jokic said NBATV.

“They were better than us in every segment of the game.

“We need to accept this. Accept it and try to be better next time.

“When you lose at 45, it’s not something that happens every day. Just accept it, you know. I’m okay with that.”

Jokic finished the game with 22 points, nine rebounds and two assists.

Denver was 0-2 early in the series, prompting Stephen A. Smith to make the “worst prediction” of his career on First Take.

“I think the Denver Nuggets are about to get swept,” he said on First Take.

“And I believe the Minnesota Timberwolves will win the world championship.”

The Nuggets then won three straight games, outscoring their opponents 344-294.

“Right now, the Minnesota Timberwolves make me look like I made the worst prediction in the history of my career,” Smith admitted Wednesday.

“I have never been more embarrassed by a prediction I made than when I was in South Beach last week.”

Smith’s opinion got a little warmer last night and he might be a little vindicated if the Timberwolves can get another road win to win the series.

The winner will face either the Dallas Mavericks or the Oklahoma City Thunder.

After winning in Game 5, Mavericks star Luka Doncic made some jokes to Charles Barkley about his bad luck.

With the series tied at 2-2, Barkley felt it would be an easy game for the Thunder.

“I hope that place is noisy and I hope OKC kicks them out of the building,” Barkley said.

Doncic clearly heard Barkley’s support for the Thunder before the game and made a point of calling it out in the postgame interview.

“I love that show, I love those four guys,” Doncic began.

“Maybe next time he can say that again in the next game, then maybe we’ll win again.”
