ESPN analyst Pat McAfee left Austin Rivers distracted live on air with his eye-catching outfit.

The former NFL punter, 35, rocked a Concafa football jersey during a recent broadcast of The Pat McAfee Show.

McAfee welcomed Rivers to talk basketball on Tuesday morning.

But Rivers immediately took after the two-time Pro Bowler in his choice of attire.

“Your guy cleans his shirt, look at you,” the former NBA star said.

“It’s called a kit, buddy,” McAfee replied, turning to show his name and a number 1 printed on his shirt. “Have you heard of it?”

“The white belt, who put this together?” Rivers laughed back, completely ignoring McAfee.

“You’re dressed like, I don’t even know. It’s NASCAR crossed with Ellen DeGeneres.”

“You son of a bitch!” roared McAfee to raucous laughter from the panel.

McAfee announced last month that it will play in the 2024 edition of The Soccer Tournament with its team The Concafa SC.

He will co-manage the team in the seven-on-seven tournament alongside former NFL star JJ Watt, with a $1 million prize up for grabs.

“Finally someone talked about this belt”, laughed a fan on X following the exchange.

“NASCAR Ellen is excellent,” said another.

McAfee played football during his childhood in Pennsylvania.

He played three years on the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League varsity team at Plum High School.

McAfee played offensive lineman and defender after going to West Virginia University.

He ultimately chose to pursue a career in football, a decision that would see him complete 8 seasons in the NFL with the Indianapolis Colts.

Pat McAfee’s Playing Days

Pat McAfee had a hugely successful period before switching to a career in media.

The talk show star served as a punter in the NFL for eight seasons from 2009 to 2016.

He was a seventh-round pick in the 2009 NFL Draft out of West Virginia and spent his entire career with the Indianapolis Colts.

The former punter was named to the Pro Bowl in 2014 and 2016, and was also a first-team All-Pro in 2014.

McAfee holds the NFL’s single record for highest career net punting yardage average at 41.4 yards, while his longest punt of all time was 74.

“I’ve been kicking the ball since I was three years old. I fell in love with football in 1990”, McAfee remembered.

“I saw the world because of it. I played a game in the middle of a blizzard in the Alps.

“I scored goals in France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and almost every state in America.

“I owe a lot to the game. But my knees got really excited when I came to the conclusion that I can be very successful by just taking 3 steps and kicking a ball rather than running 3 miles and kicking a ball.”

You can watch The Pat McAfee Show on ESPN every day starting at noon ET.
