INDIANA Pacers star Myles Turner says he’ll have a Larry O’Brien Trophy in his hands by the end of June – even if it’s made of Lego.
Turner’s Pacers are currently facing the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals.
Indiana hasn’t reached the NBA Finals since 2000 and has never lifted the iconic trophy.
Turner joined Malika Andrews on Wednesday’s NBA Today to preview Game 2 of the seven-game series.
The 28-year-old striker is a Lego enthusiast and is known for building huge structures out of plastic brick toys.
“I also like puzzles more,” Andrews Turner said.
“But let’s get creative – if you built a Lego structure to sum up the season so far, what would it be?”
“Oh, that’s a good one!” replied Turner.
“Honestly, I would build the Larry O’Brien Trophy.
“That’s my goal, that’s the city’s goal.
“Let’s get a bunch of gold bricks and put this together, man.”
“Legos? Is this their secret training regimen for the playoffs? Maybe they should focus more on free throws and defense!” wrote one fan on X in response to the exchange.
“Myles Turner seems like a calm guy. I love how he balances serious gaming talk with something fun like LEGOs.
“The humiliation the Celtics are about to give them will be one of the greatest moments in sports history,” wrote a third.
Turner has a massive Lego collection and began his obsession as a child.
“While [my friends] we were playing video games, I would always go in the back room and start building things and just make all my little imagination and all that stuff come to real life,” Turner said. TO KNOCK.
“I’ve never looked back. It was my dad who really introduced me to it. And I kind of took it and made it my own.”

“People think it’s a gimmick to have Legos at home,” he added.
“The most important thing for me about this Lego thing is that it’s not gimmicky.
“It’s not like I’m just trying to come here and get a sponsorship. In fact, this is something I love and am passionate about.
“The ingenuity that’s behind all of this, the imagination that people have and just the different paths that you open up and the different worlds that you can open up by entering this space is unreal.”
The Pacers face the Celtics in Game 2 of the Conference Finals series on Thursday at TD Garden.
