CHICAGO Sky rookie Angel Reese experienced a welcome-to-the-WNBA moment in Saturday’s matchup against the Connecticut Sun.
The former Louisiana State University star was heavily fouled by Sun forward Alyssa Thomas.
Thomas, 32, grabbed Reese, 22, by the neck before bringing the Sky in front of the floor.
The four times WNBA All-Star was expelled for her actions.
And the play aroused strong emotions in social media.
“Really??? A strangulation?” a fan posted on X.
“I’m a CT fan but this was CRAZY,” added another.
“This is a disgusting move. So dangerous,” said a third.
“Enemy for life, okay?” one wrote
