INSIDE NBA star Charles Barkley was left speechless after reading a fan’s nasty comment.

Barkley and his TNT co-stars Ernie Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith headed to Dallas, Texas, on Sunday to watch the Mavericks defeat the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinals.

Later that night, after Dallas’ 116-107 victory and with the American Airlines Center empty once again, the TNT crew took the opportunity to end the show with some laughs.

Barkley received several “Mean DMs” sent by viewers to read aloud.

Probably the best of the selection was sent by Viktor, and Barkley laughed before he even read it.

“Barkley claims to be on a diet, but we all know the only thing he’s cutting is the line at Krispy Kreme,” the NBA Hall of Famer relayed after a brief pause.

As for the rest of the DMs, they were a mix of nasty comments and praise for the much-loved 61-year-old.

“Announcing the NBA Playoffs doesn’t require a lot of brain power,” said one fan, to which Barkley simply responded, “Your mom.”

“You look like the Milk Duds mascot,” said another, to the delight of Barkley and his colleagues.

“I’m not sure if anyone told [you] You’re beautiful!” said a fourth fan.

While a fifth was short and sweet in what was Smith’s favorite comment of the night – “You suck.”

Barkley’s love for Krispy Kreme is well known.

In 2022, during an episode of The Steam Room podcast, Barkley admitted to eating Krispy Kreme three meals in a row in one day.

“It was a Sunday morning and I said, ‘I just want some Krispy Kreme.'” he remembered.

“So I ordered a dozen and said, ‘I can split it into three meals.’

“That’s all I ate all day.

“I had a little control. I ate around nine in the morning.

Inside the future of the NBA?

The operation of the NBA on TNT Sports is in great doubt due to the NBA’s broadcast agreements.

The Emmy-winning sports show is a fan favorite thanks to the likes of Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley.

But TNT’s broadcast deal with the NBA ends after next season and NBC appears poised to take over those rights in a $2.6 billion deal.

If TNT loses its NBA package, it will raise serious questions about the popular Inside the NBA.

One solution could be to recreate the show on another network, which would snatch the rights from the NBA.

“I ate around two in the afternoon and ate around seven in the evening.

“It was a great day of eating… I’m proud of it.

“I could have eaten them all at once. Because I told you, boy, when that hot plate comes on, your car just hits that little hot plate.

“That hot signal is dangerous.”

A year earlier, during a broadcast of Inside The NBA, Barkley’s pledge button resulted in a bunch of Krispy Kreme donuts being delivered to each crew member.

Barkley later declared “this is the best thing in the world”.
