TWO-TIME NBA All-Star Isaiah Thomas revealed that a minor pointed a gun at him over the weekend.
The Phoenix Suns’ veteran point guard revealed the terrifying encounter in a now-deleted social media publish.
Thomas, 35, posted on X, formerly known as Twitterthat he was held at gunpoint while with friends.
Thomas added that the young man chose not to fire the gun after recognizing the NBA player.
“I’m really tripping with the way these kids are moving!!!!” wrote Thomas in the since-deleted post.
“I really had a life changing moment yesterday when a kid pointed an AK47 at me and the homies and if it wasn’t for who I was and him recognizing me in my own town, he probably would have ended all our lives.
“Be safe.”
Thomas said the situation happened in his hometown of Tacoma, Washington.
He also made another since-deleted post on the social media platform, writing: “We just need to pray for these young people!!!
“God was working yesterday [for real].
“Damn, it could have all been over so quickly.
“NO REASON AT ALL!!!!”
Thomas did not say why he deleted the posts.
During your college Basketball days, he played in Washington before entering the NBA in 2011.
Thomas made the All-Star team twice while a member of the Boston Celtics.
He was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2017 in a deal that sent Kyrie Irving for the Celts.
And Thomas’ athletic abilities have deteriorated since the deal.
Since 2018, he has played for seven NBA teams.
Thomas played six games for the Suns in the 2023-24 campaign.
The 11-year veteran will soon be an NBA free agent.
For his career, Thomas is averaging 17.5 points, as well as 4.8 assists and 2.4 rebounds per game.
