NBA legend Dwyane Wade is joining NBC’s broadcast team for the Paris Olympics.
The 42-year-old former Miami Heat star won two Olympic medals with Team USA in 2004 and 2008.
Wade will join broadcaster Noah Eagle for play-by-play coverage of basketball in Paris this summer, according to The Athletic’s André Marchand.
LaChina Robinson was also announced as part of NBC’s Olympic coverage of men’s and women’s basketball games.
Wade launched his hit podcast The Why with Dwyane Wade earlier this year.
He spent three years on TNT Sports’ NBA coverage between 2019 and 2022.
Wade could join Mike Tirico in the NBC broadcast booth for NBA games, the Athletic report added.
NBC is currently in a $2.5 billion bidding war for NBA rights for the 2025 season.
“This will be a test for Wade to see if he can be great on the mic to be not just the No. 1 but any announcer on NBC,” said one fan on X.
“Great choice for Wade,” said another.
LeBron James and Steph Curry are among the players who will go for gold with Team USA in July.
Other members of the team include Kevin Durant and Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns, Jayson Tatum and Jrue Holiday of the Boston Celtics and Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers.
“I’m excited to bring them together,” USA Basketball chief Jim Tooley told The US Sun.
“Ten of the 12 have played with us previously and we are very excited about the commitment these stars have made.
“They will start training camp at the beginning of July and then we will go to Abu Dhabi and London before heading to Paris.
“What we need to continue to do to get back to the top is start with a strong squad of players and build continuity as we go.
“Even though we have a very strong squad, there are several teams that have very strong squads.
