WOMEN’S basketball star Cameron Brink shared the inspiration behind her outfit ahead of her WNBA game.
Los Angeles Sparks rookie Brink revealed that she wore outfits inspired by American tennis player Coco Gauff.
On Tuesday, Brink spoke with ESPN about his pregame outfit before the Sparks-Indiana Fever game.
2024 first-round pick Brink shared that 20-year-old Gauff influenced the look.
“I’m wearing my little New Balance sneakers,” Brink said.
She made reference to the short collared blouse and white miniskirt.
“I want to be like Coco,” Brink continued.
The 6-foot-9 forward then revealed that she paired the outfit with white New Balance 650 sneakers and “old school socks.”
On Thursday, Gauff, officially sponsored by New Balance and who has her collection with the brand, saw the clip on Instagram and reacted to it.
” To love her!” the 2023 US Open champion said in the comments.
Gauff also republished the social media posted on his Instagram story and wrote the caption: “Your pregame adjustments always eat.”
Brink responded to the message, writing, “I love you.”
The rookie’s outfit seemed to help her play in Tuesday’s game.
Brink helped the Sparks beat Caitlin Clark Fever 88-82.
She recorded three points, three rebounds and two blocks in 23 minutes of action during the contest.
So far, Brink is putting up 9.5 points and 3.0 blocks per game.
Fans can watch the Stanford product when the Sparks play the Chicago Sky on Thursday night at Wintrust Arena.
Brink will face first-round pick Angel Reese in the competition.
Reese did history To date, she is only the second WNBA player to record 24 offensive rebounds in her first five games.
The Sparks have a 2-4 record heading into the matchup, while the Sky are 2-3.
