NBA veteran Dennis Schroder transitioned to playing a different sport when his basketball season came to an end.
Brooklyn Nets point guard Schroder made an impressive appearance for a football team on Wednesday.

Schroder made his professional football debut with FB Germania Bleckenstedt in Germany’s sixth division.
The 30-year-old played 62 minutes before being substituted during the club’s 5-1 defeat to SC Gottingen 05.
Gottingen now sits second in the division with 72 and Bleckensted has 53 points, sixth in the table.
Schroder’s brother-in-law plays for FB Germania Beckenstedt and was a 2013 NBA first-round pick connected to the club.
After the match, he posted on Instagram and said he wished the game had a better result, but he also shouted at his brother-in-law.
“It’s not the result I wanted for my first official game soccer game,” Scroder wrote.
“But [thanks] to my brother-in-law for making this happen.”
Born in Braunschweig, GermanySchroder used playing football as a form of conditioning before this summerof the Paris Olympics.
He will represent the country in Basketball in July.
Schroder spent last summer with the German senior men’s national team when the group won the gold medal at the FIBA World Cup.
He received the FIBA World Cup MVP by averaging 17.9 points and 6.7 assists per game.
Schroder played football growing up before focusing on basketball at age 11, according to NBA. with.
He will be able to take next field on Sunday when Bleckenstedt faces VfL Wahrenholz.
The former first-round pick’s 2023-24 season was split between the Toronto Raptors and Brooklyn.

In 80 games, Schroder averaged 14.0 points, 6.1 assists and 3.0 rebounds.
The Nets acquired him and Thaddeus Young from Toronto in exchange for Spencer Dinwiddie.
Schroder played for seven NBA franchises in his 11-year career.
He averaged 11.9 points, 4.8 assists and 2.9 rebounds in 769 games.
Schroder earned more than $89 million during his career.
