NBA fans are convinced that Patrick Mahomes is the Dallas Mavericks’ good luck charm ahead of the NBA Finals.
The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback celebrated the Mavs’ victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday on social media.

Mahomes saluted Luka Doncic as the Slovenian guard inspired Dallas to a 123-103 victory in Game 5 of the Western Conference finals.
The three-time Super Bowl champion shared a post celebrating Doncic’s nomination as series MVP.
Doncic’s 33-point performance helped seal a 4-1 series victory for Dallas, as they now advance to face the Boston Celtics for the title.
Mahomes grew up in Texas and is a huge fan of the Mavericks and the NHL’s Dallas Stars.

After the Game 5 explosion, he simply posted “Mavs,” alongside a sunglasses emoji for his 2.6 million followers.
The 28-year-old was on the court with teammate Travis Kelce in Game 3 of the series.
And NBA fans can’t wait for the Chiefs star to return to the arena for the Celtics showdown.
“I don’t think the world is ready for Mahomes on the court in the Finals,” one fan responded to the post.
“We better see you at some games!” said another.
“Pat, you are our lucky charm,” added a third.
“I love that you’re my QB, but I can’t wait until the Celtics win in 4,” countered a fourth.
The Mavericks have reached the NBA Finals three times since their first season in 1980-81.
They have only won the Larry O’Brien Trophy once, in 2011.
Back in the NFL, Mahomes and the Chiefs are aiming for a historic three-peat in 2024.
No team in the modern Super Bowl era has won three consecutive titles.
Mahomes received a raucous reception on his last visit to the American Airlines Center, while his teammate Kelce was booed by much of the crowd.
“I got booed twice,” Kelce told his brother Jason on his New Heights podcast.
“I heard all the boos and thought, ‘Holy shit, I’m being booed!
“Alright, thanks! Nice to see you, Dallas. I appreciate the warm welcome.
“I’m not from Dallas, I’m just an innocent bystander. Maybe they just don’t like the Chiefs, I don’t know.”
The Mavericks face the Celtics in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on June 6.
