ANGEL Reese has been fined $1,000 following her controversial clash with rival Caitlin Clark.
The college foes squared off when Clark’s Indiana Fever defeated the Chicago Sky 71-70 over the weekend.
WNBA fans were furious after Clark was tackled by Chennedy Carter.
Reese can be seen jumping off the bench to applaud her teammate for surprising the superstar.
And fans suggested that Reese should hug Carter during the next halftime of the game.
“Angel Reese has no class,” posted one on X with a clip of the alleged incident.
“Her reaction when her teammate tackled Caitlin Clark to the ground… ‘me and Caitlin Clark don’t hate each other’ Yeah, right.”
“Angel hates Caitlin,” added another. “But I don’t think CC cares about Angel.
“Like I never thought of her outside of her being mentioned by someone else.”
Some fans thought Reese was being criticized harshly.
“What should she do, scold her? She is helping her teammate,” one of them responded.
“No one in these comments actually watched the game clearly, this wasn’t even a reaction to it,” posted another.
Reese was fined for not making herself available for interviews after Saturday’s game and Chicago was charged $5,000 for failing to ensure all players complied with WNBA policies.
“I’m not going to answer any questions from Caitlin Clark,” Carter said after the game.
“That’s enough. We’re good,” added coach Teresa Weatherspoon.
On Sunday, the WNBA retroactively upgraded Carter’s foul to flagrant.
Clark had the last laugh, finishing the victory with 11 pints, eight rebounds and six assists.

It was her first home win since being selected as the No. 1 overall pick.
Reese had eight points, 13 rebounds and one assist, while Carter racked up 19 points, four rebounds and six assists.
“It is what it is,” Clark said of the incident after the game.
She received a vote of confidence from Brittany Mahomes.
“@caitlinclark22 keep doing what you want!!” she captioned a post on her Instagram Stories showing her and Sabrina Ionescu’s records.
“You’re a player and it’s amazing to see what you’re doing for women’s sports!!”
