Boston Celtics fans are having a lot of fun right now.
They saw their team go 2-0 in the NBA Finals with another victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday night.
And they enjoyed insulting Kyle Irving after his post-Game 1 comments.
Irving told reporters he expected the crowd at TD Garden to be louder than it actually was.
The Celtics responded to this in defiant fashion, displaying that quote alongside an image of Irving’s face on the Jumbotron shortly before the start of Sunday’s game.
As you can imagine, this helped increase the volume.
And fans of X, the site formerly known as Twitter, also had their say.
“I can’t believe they actually said ‘Kyrie said what?’ mode on the Jumbotron The pettiness levels are off the charts,” one said.
Fantastic! Kyrie always knows how to get the crowd going. I love seeing the Celtics cheering up the home fans like this!” wrote another fan.
“Anything you can do to get ahead, I like it,” was another poster’s comment.
“Go, Celtics! Let’s keep the Mavs on the defensive,” said a fourth fan.
Dallas is under a lot of pressure right now after going down 2-0 in the best-of-seven series.
Jrue Holiday was the best scorer for the Celtics with 26 points.
Boston fought back 105-98 to take a decisive series lead.
Teammate Jayson Tatum recorded 18 points, 12 assists and nine rebounds.
Luka Doncic contributed 32 points, 11 assists and 11 rebounds in a triple double for the Mavericks.
“They were pairing up with him [Tatum] and he was making the right play,” Holiday said.

The next game takes place on Wednesday, in Dalla.
Doncic knows he and his team will need to improve to get back to the Finals.
“At the end of the day, we have to make some more plays,” he said.
“I think my turnovers and missed free throws cost us the game, so I have to do a lot better in those two categories.”
