Rivers was a former coach of the Los Angeles Clippers, and Jackson said he enjoyed playing for him.

The current Bucks coach is one of the most criticized figures in the league, but Jackson gave him a vote of confidence.

A series of documents were recently released about the Clippers during Rivers’ time as head coach, and Jackson refuted the way it was portrayed.

“When I was there for that short period, Doc Rivers was super respectful,” Jackson said.

“I didn’t hear anything like that, him talking like that to anyone, and if it was, it was jokes.

“It never got to the point of being disrespectful, so maybe I wasn’t there long enough, but I’d never seen that from Doc Rivers.

“He was a stand-up guy. I can’t stand his son, but I love Doc Rivers.”

Austin Rivers, Doc Rivers’ son, has become a prominent face in NBA media, producing many interesting opinions on ESPN.

One of his hottest scenes was proclaiming Anthony Edwards as the new face of the NBA.

“We could definitely break this down from level to level,” Rivers said.

“He doesn’t just embrace the attention, he embraces the attention as a pitcher.

“This is not a guy who wants to go to the Met Gala, this is not a guy who wants to be in Hollywood. This guy is a complete basketball dog.”

Rivers spent his final NBA season with the Minnesota Timberwolves and saw Edwards firsthand.

“I was with him last year in Minnesota, the guy lives and breathes the gym,” Rivers said.

“He’s also one of the first young stars I’ve seen who is coachable and likable. This is a guy you would never know makes a lot of money.

“He’s got the aura, he’s got the smile, he’s got the charisma, he’s got the fiery tennis, he’s got the explosiveness in terms of the exciting, polarizing things he can do in the air.”

Edwards and the Timberwolves were eliminated in the Western Conference Finals.

Rivers recently hasn’t made as many appearances on ESPN since her racy scenes went viral.
