NFL superstar Patrick Mahomes turned heads with his bold outfit choice in Game 3 of the NBA Finals.
The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback was on the court when the Dallas Mavericks took on the Boston Celtics on Wednesday.
Mahomes was born in Texas and grew up in Tyler supporting the Mavericks.
He was nicknamed the “good luck charm” by Dallas fans after watching postseason games.
Mahomes was joined by his wife Brittany as the Mavs aimed for a crucial victory in Game 3 at the American Airlines Center.
The 28-year-old posed for photos with fans on the court – but his posts failed to catch on on social media.
Mahomes rocked a pair of skinny jeans with zippers at the knees, along with a black t-shirt and a Mavs cap.
“I haven’t seen pants like these since 2017,” laughed one fan On Instagram.
“Sound of a zipper – and now it’s shorts,” joked another.
“The guy needs a new stylist,” added a third.
“This look isn’t Patrick’s,” commented a fourth.
“Controversial opinion due to the comments, but I think they look cute and happy…” replied a fifth.
Mahomes was disappointed when the Mavericks fell to a 99-106 loss to fall behind 3-0 in the series.
Boston is just one win away from its first NBA title since 2008.
They can win the Larry O’Brien Trophy at the home of the Mavericks on Friday night.
Dallas superstar Luka Doncic had a night to forget after fouling out in the fourth quarter.
It was the first time in 48 postseason games that the Slovenian had six fouls.
How Patrick and Brittany met

Patrick Mahomes married his high school sweetheart, Brittany, in an intimate ceremony in Hawaii in 2022.
The NFL quarterback met his future wife at Whitehouse High School, 10 years before they finally tied the knot.
The couple kept their romance alive during college, when Patrick played football at Texas Tech and Brittany was a soccer star at the University of Texas.
Brittany briefly played soccer in Iceland in 2017 after college, while Patrick was drafted by the Chiefs.
The power couple now has two children – Sterling Skye, born in February 2021, and Patrick Lavon Mahomes III, aka Bronze, born in November 2022.
“We couldn’t play physically,” Doncic said angrily after the game.
“I don’t want to say anything [against the officials]. But six fouls in the NBA Finals? Come on, man.”
Mahomes is expected to return to NFL action in September.
He is currently on mini-camp duties in Kansas City ahead of the new season.
The Chiefs are aiming for a third consecutive Super Bowl title – a feat not achieved by any team in the modern era.
