NBA legend Reggie Miller has called out the New York Knicks as his prolonged rivalry with the team continues.

Pacers icon Miller received a brutal welcome at Madison Square Garden when his former team played the Knicks in the second round of the NBA playoffs.

Miller’s comment concerned Knicks star Josh Hart, who recalled to broadcaster TNT that he was receiving brutal chants from the MSG crowd in Game 5 of the playoff series between the Indiana Pacers and the New York team.

Miller appeared on former NBA player Mark Jackson’s podcast this week and shared his disdain for the Knicks, who lost in seven games to the Pacers in their playoff series.

“That’s why I can’t stand the Knicks, because to me they are the trailblazers.” said the 58-year-old man.

“They think that God’s gift to them Basketball.”

Miller brought up the fact that Knicks fans chanted “f*** you” at the NBA legend while he was the announcer for the playoff series on TNT.

Although Miller didn’t mind the chants, he said “gasoline was spilled” when, in Game 5, New York star Josh Hart was heard on the live microphones telling him what the chants were about.

“I don’t know what was going through his head,” Miller said. But I don’t think there was anything malicious. I think he was trying to be funny.

“But for him, again, to pour gasoline on it… Because all you heard on the mic was him saying, ‘FU.’ So people thought he came up to me and said, ‘FU,’ which wasn’t the case.

“For example, why am I being dragged into the series? I’m here to work.”

Former Knick Jackson chimed in and believed Miller’s vanguard argument was hypocritical, calling out his trolling towards the Knicks and their fans once the Pacers won the series.

“What’s so wrong with that?” Miller responded. “Tell me, what’s wrong with that? I’m not on the show. I had nothing to do with the show.

“But then I got dragged into it [and] I did my job. But then again, being pioneers, there was no need for that. But it is what it is. It won’t be the first time.”

Recently, Knicks star Jalen Brunson spoke about Miller and the fight he has with the New York team.

He appeared on Bleacher Report’s Taylor Rooks podcast and called Hart an “idiot” for telling Miller about the corners.

But Brunson believes Miller brought the Knicks’ pressure on himself after the network said before the second-round game ended that he “owns” New York City.

“But Reggie started singing,” the 2023-24 All-Star said. “He said this, he said, the Boogeyman is coming back to New York, he said, ‘Why would I be afraid to go back to New York’?”

“He said, I own this place.”

The Knicks had a 3-2 series lead after the moment between Hart and Miller and lost the next two games to lose the series.

But Brunson told Rooks that the sequence between Hart and Miller wasn’t the turning point in the series.

Although he is also recognized as one of the best three-point shooters of all time, Miller has a history with the Knicks that generated hostility between the two sides.

He is famous for making a choking gesture at Knicks fanatic Spike Lee during a playoff game between Indiana and New York.

After the Game 7 victory, Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton wore a sweatshirt with a photo of Miller’s choke pose just to mock the Knicks.

Indiana was swept by the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals.

The Celtics beat the Dallas Mavericks 3-0 in the NBA Finals.
