NBA fans are furious with the Finals halftime show for offering almost no analysis.
After a dominant first half from the Dallas Mavericks, NBA fans were treated to an extremely short halftime show.
Stephen A. Smith was joined by Malika Andrews and Kendrick Perkins to analyze the first half, but almost no analysis was done.
NBA star Paul George was also present at the halftime show, but only spoke once during the entire segment.
Fans were furious with the analysis after receiving mostly commercials during halftime rather than game coverage.
“The @NBA should never let @espn broadcast the NBA Finals again,” said one fan.
“Awful presentation, bunch of puppets talking nonsense at intermission and endless commercials with no analysis.”
The halftime show began with the panel talking to Kendrick Perkins about how he correctly picked the Mavericks to come out strong in Game 4.
Stephen A. and Michael Wilbon also spoke during the brief opening segment.
The segment lasted about two minutes before it began with over three minutes of commercials.
Then the show came back for less than 30 seconds before going back to commercial once again.
Fans couldn’t believe their eyes as the show barely provided anything for them to watch.
“3 minutes and 32 seconds of commercials followed by a 22 second clip of first half highlights where a guy hit a 3 in slow motion. The NBA Finals halftime show is amazing,” said another fan.
“Who invited Paul George to the NBA Finals halftime team,” said a third fan.
“The first time I watched the halftime show, all the finals, it was 2 minutes of production and 15 minutes of commercials. ESPN is the worst,” said a fourth fan.
This short break is nothing new for ESPN during the Finals, fans have been critical throughout the entire series.

The problems began in Game 1 when the halftime team didn’t even provide two total minutes of game coverage.
In that game, the ESPN team also missed the start of the second half as they were still showing clips from the first half when the action began.
Analysis on Game 4 has increased in volume since Game 1, but it’s still much less than fans expect.
Perhaps ESPN will listen to fans’ concerns and adjust its schedule for a possible Game 5.
