ESPN’s Brian Windhorst talked about Doncic after he was fouled in Game 3 with 4:12 left in the fourth quarter as the Dallas Mavericks trailed.

Doncic was seen complaining to the referees after the call, while the reporter added that the Mavericks coaches “begged” and “pleaded” with the five-time NBA All-Star to stop arguing with the referees during games.

Pierce reacted to Windhorst’s comments alongside fiery personality Skip Bayless and Keyshawn Johnson on the FS1 show.

“Sport is based on reputations, and the reason they’re telling him that is because he’s developed a reputation now that I don’t know if he can reduce it,” he said on Friday.

“Because when you get too far into developing a reputation, it will always be there.”

Pierce mentioned that NBA star Draymond Green and past legends Rasheed Wallace and Allen Iverson have dealt with bad reputations in officiating.

But Boston Celtics icon Pierce wasn’t afraid to share an NSFW comment about the referee opinion by Doncic.

“So now, I don’t know if he can change it, but they look at him like, ‘Oh no, he’s an idiot,’” he said.

Windhorst made the viral speech while appearing on SportsCenter with Scott Van Pelt following the Mavericks’ Game 3 loss.

“I thought it was perfect that Luka fell to the ground in an unacceptable position to put himself in with four minutes left and five fouls,” he said.

The signing of JJ Redick by the LA Lakers would have to be approved by LeBron James, says the former NBA star on the Pat McAfee Show

“And then he immediately looks at the bench and says, ‘You better challenge him.’

“Like it was the bench’s fault he made a terrible play.”

Windhorst also criticized Doncic’s defense in the contest, calling it “unacceptable” and that he will have to learn from his mistakes if he wants to be an NBA champion.

ESPN commentator Doris Burke even called out the 25-year-old for her defense during a first-quarter sequence.

He recorded 29 points and five assists in 33 minutes.

“We were locked in, especially on defense,” Doncic said, per ESPN. “We played with pace. That helped them. I’m here to help them in any way I can. We have to play like that.”

Game 5 will be on Monday night in Boston, as the Celtics will try to win their 18th championship in your history.
