TOM BRADY happily toasted another special sporting success for Boston as the Celtics won a record 18th NBA title.
Boston defeated the Dallas Mavericks 106-88 at home on Sunday to secure a 4-1 series victory.
It’s the Celtics’ 18th title, giving them a lead in the all-time standings, ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers.
And Brady, a Boston sports legend who helped the New England Patriots to six Super Bowl victories, quickly adopted X, the site formerly known as Twitter.
“Another one in Boston,” he wrote.
Fans were quick to give their opinion in response to this.
“It must be nice to hang banners and championships so often. There are 14-year-old boys who have witnessed at least 10 championships,” said a fan.
“Boston is Title Town,” said another fan.
“The city is a dynasty hot spot! If only Minnesota could win something,” said a third fan.
“Boston has a magical touch in all sports,” said a fourth fan.
Not everyone wanted to participate in the party.
“It makes me feel sick to my stomach,” one person posted.
“Aahhh no, they’ve already won too much. Spoiled city!” someone else said.
Lakers legend Magic Johnson is another who won’t feel like celebrating too much.
He expressed his displeasure with the Celtics being ahead of his beloved Lakers.
“I hate that the Celtics officially have more championships than us now,” he wrote.

Jaylen Brown was named the Celtics’ most valuable player after a strong defensive showing against Dallas star Luka Doncic.
“It was a complete team effort,” Brown said.
“I share this with my brothers and my partner in crime, Jayson Tatum.
“He was with me the whole time, so we shared it together.”
The Mavericks gave themselves a long shot with Friday’s 122-84 win to cut their deficit to 3-1 in the best-of-seven series.
But Boston sealed the deal in front of their fans, before a long night of partying in the city.
